The license fee to renew your instructor license is $40 renewable in June each year.

How to Become an Instructor |

In order to be eligable to take the instructor exam you have to have been a licensed barber for 18 months. Instructor exams are given 4 times a year at the board office. The dates for the Instructor Exams for 2006 are:
- January 10
- April 10
- August 21
- November 6

Once you pass the exam |

Once you successfully pass the Instructor Exam you are required to work in a licensed barber school under a head instructor for 12 full months before becoming a head instructor yourself.
